Child Care Officers
To expand our existing team we are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Child Care Officers. Under the direction of senior colleagues you would be expected to effectively support the students. Ensure own actions and behaviour comply with corporate policy and local procedures, statutory regulations and quality standards. You would be expected to contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting the social and independence activities and experiences which enhance the development of our students. To manage the well being and behaviour of students ensuring any significant behavioural or physical occurrences are promptly addressed and reported, referring to a senior member of staff as appropriate. Assists senior staff with the compilation of care plans. Prepares incident and other reports and updates daily records and logs as required. Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with students, pupils, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders. NVQ3 in relevant care/children and young people related area would be an advantage, but not essential. You would be expected to commence the attainment of this qualification if not already achieved shortly after your appointment. The hours worked are 48 per week, currently for 35 weeks per year plus 50 hours training.
